Privacy Policy
Numispics (“we”, “us”) is a web tool at numispics.com that turns coin photos into clean product images. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and what choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we handle
- Photos you upload. Your coin photos are sent to our server so the background can be removed and the finished images made. Your browser may shrink large photos before uploading them.
- The images we make for you. Composites, single-side pictures, batch ZIP files and spin animations.
- Your Google account email and name — only if you sign in. Signing in with Google is needed only to download finished images. Google tells us your email address, your name and whether the email is verified. We do not receive your Google password.
- Basic technical data. Like any website, our server sees your IP address and browser details when you connect. We use them only to deliver the site and keep it secure; we do not build profiles from them.
- Visit statistics. Our server keeps a log of visits — the date and time, the page, your browser and device type, the site that linked you here, and a shortened IP address (the last part is removed, so it can’t identify you or your exact location). Cookies and sign-in codes are never written to it. We use it only to count visits and see which countries and devices our visitors use.
- Usage counts. We count, per day, how many photos are processed, images downloaded and sign-ins made. To tell new visitors from returning ones when they sign in, we keep a one-way scrambled code made from the email address — not the email itself, and it can’t be turned back into it. To count how many different people visit each day, we likewise keep a one-way scrambled code made from the IP address (never the address itself), deleted after 90 days.
How long we keep it
- Photos and finished images are deleted from our server automatically, normally within 24 hours of being created. We do not keep an archive, and we do not look through your photos.
- Your sign-in is kept only in a signed cookie in your own browser, for up to 30 days or until you sign out. We do not keep a list of accounts or email addresses. For paid plans we keep only what is described under “Payments”, for as long as you subscribe and up to 2 years after (for our records).
- The visit log is deleted automatically after 90 days. Usage counts are daily totals with nothing personal in them, kept to see how the service is used over time.
How we use it
- To process your photos and give you the results.
- To check that you are signed in before a download, and to show “Signed in as …”.
- If you subscribe to a paid plan: to know which plan is active. For everyone: to count the month’s downloads against the plan’s allowance.
- To keep the service running, secure and free of abuse.
We do not sell or rent your information, show ads, use third-party analytics or tracking tools, or use your photos to train AI models. Our visit statistics are produced on our own server and are not shared with anyone.
Payments
Paid plans (Collector and Dealer) are paid through Stripe, on Stripe’s own checkout page. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach our server. Stripe tells us your Stripe customer number, which plan you are on and whether your subscription is active; we keep those linked to the scrambled code made from your email (not the email itself). Stripe also keeps your email, name and billing details to process payments and send receipts, under its own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy). To count downloads against your plan, we keep the file names of the images you downloaded this month, linked to the same scrambled code, for about two months.
Cookies
We use one cookie, named session, only when you sign in. It keeps you signed in and
protects the sign-in process. There are no advertising, analytics or third-party tracking cookies.
Who else is involved
- Google provides the sign-in. When you sign in, Google’s own Privacy Policy applies to what happens on Google’s pages. Our use of information received from Google follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
- Our hosting provider (DigitalOcean) runs the server your photos are processed on.
We may disclose information if the law requires it. If Numispics is ever transferred to a new owner, this policy would continue to apply to information they receive.
Your choices
- You can use Numispics without signing in; only downloading needs a sign-in.
- You can sign out at any time (“Sign out” at the top of the app). You can also remove Numispics’ access in your Google Account under Third-party apps & services.
- Because we don’t keep accounts and delete photos automatically, there is usually nothing left to delete. If you want something removed sooner, or have any question, contact us at info@numispics.com.
Children
Numispics is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Security
Connections to numispics.com are encrypted (HTTPS), finished images can only be downloaded after signing in, and files are removed automatically. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so please don’t upload photos containing information you need to keep private.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
